Hi There!

I'm Yannis,

a graphic designer and animator.

From day one of my career, I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with creative and driven people on various freelance graphic design projects. Since 2013, I have worked as a graphic designer at Antopack S.A., one of Europe’s leading printing and packaging companies. At the same time, I have volunteered as a lecturer at the Creative Activity Center of Volos in Greece, teaching comics drawing to teenagers and adults.

My academic background is rooted in the arts. I earned a master’s degree in Art and Design and a bachelor's degree (2:1 Hons) in Animation from the University of Wolverhampton (UK). Prior to this, I studied Graphic Design for Print & Digital Media at the Municipal Vocational Training Institute of Volos (Greece).

Outside of work, I’m a storyteller at heart. I love movies, collect VHS tapes & DVDs, and always look for the magic in everyday moments. Traveling, exploring new cultures, and keeping a sense of humor fuel both my life and career.

Packaging

Packaging for a fresh drinkable yogurt. Produced by Dairy Farm, in three different flavours; blueberry, strawberry and pomegranate.

A label for a quality olive oil product produced in Greece.

Poster

The City Council of Volos, in order to celebrate the International Museum Day, organized a series of exhibitions in local art galleries. They needed a poster to promote the scheduled events.

Advertising Campaign

The 'like a virgin' campaign, aims to highlight the unique experience that someone will have by traveling with Virgin Airlines.

P. Drantakis

P. Drantakis is a Greek designer who creates unique lighting installations. He required a website with a minimalist and user-friendly interface design, to present himself and his work. The website is inspired by his personal work of art.

Fashion Show

Invitation

Municipal Institute of Education of Volos organized a fashion show to commemorate the 20 years of the fashion school. They needed a creative invitation to announce their event. The design is inspired by the clothing labels and it was printed on fabric.

Carnival of Volos 2011

Poster

Carnival is a festive season which occurs immediately before Lent. During this period, a variety of festivities taking place all over Greece. The City Council of Volos required a poster to promote the celebrations.

Forbidden City

Identity

The Chinese restaurant needed a creative identity. The design is inspired by the buildings in the well known Chinese imperial palace 'Forbidden City'.

Rialto Theatre

Identity

Rialto Theatre in Limassol (Cyprus) needed a fresh and elegant identity, without lose simplicity.

The Red Lanterns

Poster

The Art Association of Volos organized a themed party based on the 60s Greek movie 'The Red Lanterns'. They requested a poster to promote their event. The design is inspired by the Greek film posters of that era.
